The Modern Python 3 Bootcamp [Course] Review – Is It Worth It?
I am almost halfway through The Modern Python 3 Bootcamp while writing this review post. The course has been up to the mark. Though some of the materials seemed disorganized, the course is nevertheless interactive and useful.
It misses out on much-needed skills like web scraping but covers almost all the basics required to get you started. It gives you all the information needed to help you learn programming which was the reason why I started with this course.
Colt explains in a fun way that is easy to understand and effortless to learn. I will definitely recommend that you try this course.
The Modern Python 3 Bootcamp is a great place to start if you're new to Python. I've launched a few Udemy courses before, but nothing quite like this.
On Udemy, this course offers a one-of-a-kind experience. There are dozens of Python courses available, but this is the only one that includes nearly 200 interactive problems that you can complete right in your browser. I didn't just throw in a few code assignments at the end; this course is entirely based on them. Rather than sitting back and viewing a series of videos, the goal of this course is to get you writing code as soon as possible.
I described this course as a cross between a standard Udemy course and an interactive Codecademy-style course while it was being developed. You'll get over 25 hours of in-depth videos, as well as my idiotic jokes, as well as painstakingly constructed activities and quizzes to test your knowledge along the way.
Many older Python courses continue to emphasize Python 2. Python 3 was the logical choice because this course is all about writing the most modern, up-to-date Python code. The course covers all of Python's most recent additions and revisions. The training emphasizes thinking like a Python programmer and creating code in the "Pythonic" style.
This course covers all of the major topics covered in introductory Python courses and more advanced topics such as web scraping, crawling, and testing, to mention a few. Please feel free to look over the curriculum and watch some of the free sample videos.
Python is consistently regarded as the most in-demand programming language on the job market, either first or second. It's used in data science, machine learning, web development, self-driving cars, automation, and various other fields. It's never been a better time to start learning!
I've spent years in the San Francisco Bay Area teaching people to program at in-person bootcamps. I've begun to apply my classroom ideas to the internet world in recent years. I was named Best Newcomer Instructor in the Udemy Instructor Awards 2015 in my first year of teaching online. I'm committed to providing the best online learning experiences that parallel my in-person classes.
This is the course to take if you only want to learn Python.
Hi! Colt is my name. I’m a programmer with a strong desire to teach. I’ve spent the last few years teaching students to code at two distinct immersion boot camps, where I’ve assisted hundreds of people in becoming web developers and changing their lives. Google, Salesforce, and Square are among the companies where my grads work.
I most recently served as Lead Instructor and Curriculum Director for Galvanize SF’s 6-month intensive programme. 94 percent of my students went on to work as full-time developers after graduating from my class. I also worked as a Senior Course Developer on the web development team at Udacity, where I had daily contact with thousands of students.
Since then, I’ve concentrated on transferring my classroom teaching skills to an online setting. In 2016, I released my Web Developer Bootcamp course on Udemy, which has since become one of the platform’s most popular and highly rated courses. I was also named the Best New Instructor of 2016 by Udemy.
I’ve spent years perfecting the “formula” for teaching technical skills in a classroom setting, and I’m thrilled to be able to share my knowledge with you finally. My online courses are without a doubt the most thorough on the market, and I can firmly state that.
Come along with me on this crazy voyage!
It’s a useful course
This course is quite beneficial for novices like myself who want to learn the fundamentals of Python programming and excel at it. The method of instruction is fantastic. Mr. Colt Steele is to be thanked.
I think the course is excellent in terms of material, explanations, and exercises for each session. Despite the fact that I was already familiar with Python, so many ideas were clarified during this voyage. I appreciate the time and work put into creating the lessons; in particular, I like the “Massive section of challenges” at the end, which gave me a lot of confidence in Python. Thank you so much for such a wonderful teaching.
Later sections are quite difficult. Changing from python 2 to python 3 for solving online exercises, which requires learning a completely new syntax most of the time, makes things a lot more complicated for a novice. Python’s data science part isn’t highlighted. People who want to learn data science with Python should avoid this book.
Great course. To earn 5 stars the course should have more projects similar to the Web Scraping which really tests our skills as a whole
This was a terrific refresher on Python for me, and Colt did an excellent job of covering just about everything I needed to know. There are also a number of nice coding labs, so it’s not all videos and slideshows. Very well done.
This course began a month before I began an introductory programming course at my institution. This course covered a lot more ground and was much easier to follow than my university course!
This is an amazing course!! I absolutely adored it!! Colt teaches with enthusiasm and care, and the course concept is simple to grasp and engaging. I had no prior experience with coding before taking this Python course, but it has piqued my interest in Computer Science and Data Learning, allowing me to investigate other options and career paths. Thank you, Colt! :))
